The Genossenschaftshaus (House of Cooperatives) will be an emblematic center for hosting cooperative initiatives and organizations in the Quartiershaus Quarter in Vienna's 10th district next to the new Central Train Station: the headquarter of Die WoGen Wohnprojekte-Genossenschaft e.Gen. (a new cooperative housing developer and client of the Genossenschaftshaus), office spaces and diverse concepts of apartments: Baugruppen (self initiated co-living), shared apartments, "smart apartments", and many communal spaces.

The specially developed and subsidized ground floor area connects the House of Cooperatives to the +house (feld72): It accommodates socially engaged organizations and innovative entrepreneurs contributing to a lively urban space.

By connecting two sites of the Quartierhaus into one urbanistic concept the two buildings (House of Cooperatives and +house) dispose of a collective courtyard and the "urban balcony", which offers an open view to the Helmut-Zilk-Park.
